Our city is a house with many rooms and a large garden – it belongs to you, it’s waiting to be discovered. Bicycle along the Aare as it winds its way through meadow and field, or walk or take a boat. You can bathe as well! And in the quietest corner of the garden – the Verena gorge with the Hermitage. Just the place for a time-out or a romantic rendezvous. Or take the chairlift up to the Kurhaus Weissenstein or the nearby rambling trails with a panoramic view of the Alps. The starting place for paragliders and mountain bikers. And all around our garden lies the Mittel-land – Bern is nearby, as is the three-lakes region and the Emmental. All aboard – the train, bus or boat: you’ll arrive in comfort. And come back the same way of course! A hot tip: The Solothurn region: its 500km of networked trails makes it the biker’s paradise right in the middle of Switzerland. Here you can try the Aare Route and the Mittelland Route.
