Description
The Hotel and Restaurant Baseltor is a genuine Solothurn institution and a popular meeting place for connoisseurs.
Located in the centre of the old town, the hotel places great emphasis on sustainability. This is also reflected in the 17 individually furnished rooms. All of them are unique and spread across four buildings. Winding corridors, different floor plans as well as the colour scheme and furnishings with design classics give them a very special charm. All rooms have parquet flooring and a simply furnished bathroom with shower. The Hotel Baseltor is one of the Swiss Historic Hotels and is certified with the ibex fairstay label.
In the restaurant you can expect fresh, regional products and organic meat, prepared by hand. Creative dishes, sustainability in practice and warm hospitality make the Baseltor a lively meeting place. The restaurant is also cosy and stylishly furnished and has around 100 seats spread over 3 indoor and outdoor areas on different floors, making guests feel at home. The Mediterranean dishes with an oriental touch have been awarded 12 points by GaultMillau. However, despite the points, the products take centre stage in the cooperative pub, rather than being an afterthought.
