Aarewerft guided tour

Description

The Aarewerft Lehmann has been in existence since 1955. Today, over 60 years later, the 2nd and 3rd generations are already working successfully side by side. In addition to regular operations and a motorboat driving school, the shipyard has built up another mainstay. It builds multi-purpose boats for police, anti-terror, military, rescue, fire brigade and other commercial applications - between 25 and 40 boats per year for national but also international customers.

Even the King of Thailand has ordered a custom-made boat in Solothurn. How is a boat like this made for bomb disposal? What has to be taken into account when launching and removing it from the water?
On a guided tour, you will learn more about the process of making a boat and listen to exciting anecdotes from the business of generations.

And if you get hungry after the tour, ther are some options. Enjoy an aperitif directly on the premises or a fine meal on the popular barbecue boat. This offers a special kind of barbecue fun - in summer and winter. Because in the cold season, you can not only sizzle your own meat, but also stir in your own fondue.
