Lake Burgäschi

Rest by the lake
Our Saturday excursion brought us to Lake Burgäschi. This moraine-dammed lake is situated on the border between the cantons of Solothurn and Berne and was formed during the last ice age. The green meadows and plants together with the calming effect of the water tempted us to a leisurely stroll around the little lake. The wood chip path led us through the forest and along the lakeside giving us numerous opportunities to watch the water under our feet on the lake’s jetties. We finished our day with a delicious dinner on the romantic terrace of the Restaurant Seeblick with views over the lake– it was truly magnificent!
