Looking at a conventional bar of soap is also a look at the history of mankind. A long time ago, soap arrived in Europe from the Arab countries and the practice of cleansing the body with bars of soap became established. The family business, Seifen Haus in Welschenrohr, is the only soap factory in Switzerland that still produces curd soap.
Visitors can see how curd soap and other products are made by booking a tour of the Seifen Haus. After the tour, visitors can enjoy refreshments in the café and try out, admire or buy various products in the factory store. A workshop can also be booked for the tour.
