Natural History Museum, Solothurn

"It presents the animals, plants, rocks and fossils from the area around Solothurn. Each time I am fascinated by the attractive special exhibitions on current themes. The unique features include the 150 million-year-old fossilised turtles from the town quarries, the beautiful starfish from the Weissenstein and the famous dinosaur tracks from Lommiswil. You can touch all of the animals and objects on open display and there are lots of models to play and experiment with. A living museum and a great experience for young and old alike."
