Verena Gorge and Hermitage
"The idyllic Verena Gorge lies just at a short walking distance from the city of Solothurn or, alternatively, is accessible by bus. The pleasant walk from the city centre to the entrance of the Verena Gorge took approximately 20 minutes. The romantic path led us through the forest along a gentle stream to the hermitage, where we visited the Verena Chapel and the Saint Martin Chapel. It was also very moving to visit the hermit cabin and the Magdalene and Mount of Olives grottos. It was a beautiful walk to a place full of serenity and relaxation."
The path through the Verena Gorge is closed from 18th June - 29 June 2018.
Based on renovation works.
