Once a year, the small town of Solothurn at the heart of Switzerland becomes a multilingual meeting place for writers and book lovers from home and abroad:
As a showcase for Swiss Literature, the Solothurn Literary Days are today the most important platform for contemporary Swiss literature in all four of the country’s languages. It features literature for children and young people, prose, poetry, spoken word as well as translations of works.
The appeal reaches beyond the borders of the country: Each year writers from all over the world are invited. The interaction with international writers is an integral part of the Solothurn Literary Days.
The 47th Solothurn Literary Days will take place from May 30th to June 1st, 2025.
