From 30 March to 2 April 2023, the Classionata Music Festival will be staged in the Solothurn Concert Hall with conductor and artistic director Andreas Spörri, international soloists and the renowned Vienna Volksoper Symphony Orchestra.
Franz Lehár's (1870-1948) master operetta "The Merry Widow" will be staged exclusively for the Classionata Solothurn Music Festival 2023 in a new, lively, poetic and entertaining musical theatre setting with colourful costumes and international choral and vocal soloists (3 performances).
A symphony concert "Slavic Romanticism" with works by Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák is also on the programme. The overture to the opera "The Bartered Bride" by Smetana will be performed, as well as the violin concerto, with OPUS KLASSIK prize winner Mirijam Contzen as soloist, and Dvořák's Symphony No. 8.
The Sunday matinée "A Musical Morning Walk" will feature a colourful bouquet of melodies from popular and light symphonic classical music.
Combination ticket "Event and Music Festival Menu"
The music festival menu includes a 2-course meal at Le Restaurant of the boutique hotel La Couronne. The menu will be served from 17:00, on Sunday after the performance at approximately 13:00. On Sunday evening, the combined ticket offer will not apply.
