Among the many musical settings of the medieval text «Stabat Mater», the Baroque version by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi holds a very special place. The composer’s final work, written before his death at only 26 years of age, continues to inspire through its lyrical beauty and emotional depth, still moving audiences today. Soloists Tania Lorenzo Castro and Josy Santos perform this masterpiece under the direction of Riccardo Fiscato. The TOBS! Biel Solothurn Symphony Orchestra is joined for the occasion by SON students.
