On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the market square in Grenchen will once again be transformed into an epicenter for rousing live music and an urban festival atmosphere. For the 14th time, Rock am Märetplatz invites you to an unforgettable day of rock - right in the heart of the city.
The line-up promises pure musical diversity: from timeless rock anthems to groovy blues-rock and modern sounds, there is something for every taste. The festival kicks off at 2 p.m. with the young percussion talents from the Grenchen Music School - a special highlight right at the start. Afterwards, national and international acts will take over the stage and deliver musical fireworks into the night.
The New Roses - top-class hard rock from Wiesbaden, known for "Sons of Anarchy" and shows with KISS & Co. With their new album Attracted To Danger in their luggage, they deliver energetic rock'n'roll with a catchy tune guarantee.
Bluedög - Blues with heart, soul and power. Guitar virtuoso Philipp Gerber brings an explosive blues-rock show to Grenchen with Krissy Matthews and the new album We Keep the Fire Burning.
New Jersey - Probably the most authentic Bon Jovi tribute band in Europe. Original sound, real look, pure live energy - goosebumps guaranteed.
BWQ - The Buechibärger Wohnzimmer Quartett rocks with a lot of experience, a powerful dialect sound and songs full of emotion, wit and attitude.
FOR $ALE - The rock legends from Solothurn are back! "Back to the roots" with covers from Southern & Classic Rock - raw, honest, passionate.
FEROXXS - Fresh metal from Switzerland: heavy, fast, progressive. Founded in 2023 - and already a live experience of the heavier kind.
In addition to top-class live music, visitors to Rock am Märetplatz can expect a diverse range of street food. Food trucks provide culinary delights with their specialties - from hearty to vegetarian.
