Since the founding of the Classionata in 1999, Andreas Spörri has made it a point to promote the collaboration of young, local talents with professional orchestras.
The Sunday matinée "A Musical Morning Walk", at which the "Brass Band Solothurn" and the "Symphony Orchestra of the Volksoper Vienna" will also perform works together, will offer a colourful bouquet of melodies from popular and light symphonic classical music. Among others, works by Bizet, Respighi, Gounod, Donizetti, Puccini and Rossini can be heard.
