Themed tour: City tour with live singing: When walls and voices resound
An atmospheric guided tour: the choir of the Cantonal School of Solothurn lends new tones to places. The songs create atmosphere and the stories add emphasis. A tactful experience.
If walls could talk, they would probably sing. In Solothurn, they actually do. Under the direction of Mathias Rickenbacher, students from the cantonal school are creating a musical portrait of the city that echoes between cobblestones and church spires. Their songs resound in atmospheric locations in the old town, lending familiar places a surprising atmosphere. The choir turns squares into stages and alleys into song halls. Without a curtain, but with a lot of feeling. Between performances, the city guide continues, skilfully weaving in anecdotes and stories that bring the past to life. A tour that appeals to the eyes, ears, heart and mind in equal measure. And shows that Solothurn also sounds good musically.
