Canoe trip on the Aare (Route no. 1)

"When I was asked to do a photo shoot, I realized this was my chance to familiarise myself with the tour. So, on a beautiful day at the end of August, we prepared to set off and begin our canoe trip. Along the course, the Aare offers some fantastic loops and curves that add variety to the route. We then stopped off in Altreu at the "Restaurant Zum grünen Affen”. The restaurant is situated right next to the Aare and offers fine fish dishes. Finally we completed the last stage, all the way to Solothurn. I was impressed throughout the tour by the peace and serenity of the Aare and the nature on its banks."

The full route comprises 8 stages between Biel/Bienne (Nidau) and Full-Reuenthal.
