Veranstaltungsdetails
Markus Niederhauser has been principal clarinettist in the Biel Symphony Orchestra since 1996 and in the Basel Chamber Orchestra since 2000. His musical activities focus on concerts with chamber ensembles: the Antipodes, Swiss Clarinet Players, Le Trio d'Anches, Ensemble Elis and for many years as a duo (or trio) with Iris Haefely. He has premiered numerous solo and ensemble pieces with the Ensemble Anitpodes in particular, for example in joint concerts with the Irish Composers Society in Dublin, at the World Music Days in Luxembourg, Hong Kong and Switzerland, and in many concerts throughout Europe and the USA. Markus Niederhauser can also be heard as a bass and double bass clarinettist.
Francesco Addabbo studied piano, opera correpetition and harpsichord in Bari and Vicenza. He completed all three courses with distinction. He later obtained a Master of Advanced Studies in organ with Pascale van Coppenolle at the Bern University of the Arts. He studied harpsichord with Béatrice Martin at the Geneva University of Music. Numerous master classes in the field of historical performance practice of early music with Roy Goodman, Christophe Rousset, Enrico Baiano, Alfonso Fedi, Harald Vogel and Léon Berben, among others, round off his artistic training. For many years, he has pursued an intensive concert career as a pianist, harpsichordist and organist with a particular focus on vocal accompaniment. He has been a lecturer at the Swiss Opera Studio (HKB) since 2012 and performs regularly as a harpsichordist with the Biel-Solothurn Symphony Orchestra.
