Getting there
With the Weissenstein cable car, you can reach Solothurn’s local mountain in just a few minutes while enjoying a scenic ride in the panoramic gondola. In good weather, you are rewarded with stunning views across the Swiss Plateau to the Alps. The 3.7-kilometre-long Weissenstein Tunnel runs through the Weissenstein massif of the Jura Mountains and connects the canton of Solothurn with the canton of Jura. It ensures a quick and comfortable journey to Oberdorf, the starting point for the ascent.
