Solothurn Clock
The Solothurn 11 o'clock clock displays only 11 hours and plays the "Solothurn Song" at 11, 12, 5, and 6 o'clock.
Beschreibung
The uniquely designed, three-meter-tall Solothurn Clock features an 11-hour dial that not only displays the "Solothurn Time" but also plays the "Solothurn Song" on 11 bells at 11, 12, 5, and 6 o'clock. This one-of-a-kind clock was invented and created by Bruno Aschwanden (Trigona AG).
A special feature of the clock is a harlequin figure that strikes the hours. The beautiful metal sculpture was crafted by artist Paul Gugelmann from Gretzenbach (SO). In Solothurn, it's never five to twelve! The clock can be admired on the west façade of the UBS building at Amthausplatz 1 (Schanzenstrasse side).
