Solothurn West SBB train station
Especially when traveling with the Weissenstein Express, the Westbahnhof, built in 1857 by railroad architect Ludwig Maring, is a good alternative to the main station.
Beschreibung
The station offers a Park & Rail as well as mobility service and makes the journey by train practical, as the station is located not far from Solothurn's old town.
Every hour (xx:33h), the Weissenstein Express departs from the Solothurn West train station in 13 minutes to Oberdorf station (valley station) and is the suitable starting point for the journey to the Weissenstein - Solothurn's local mountain. From the station Oberdorf (valley station) leaves every hour (xx:10h) a train back to Solothurn which also stops at Solothurn West.
